Question for anyone that owns or services 2006-2010 Mazda MX-5 Miatas?

Recently test-drove a 2009 Mazda Miata and noticed the Oil pressure line seemed to move along with the reving of the engine/RPMs.
The dealer told me that this is typical of all Miatas since 2006, but it seemed odd to me since I had never seen this before.

Is this accurate? Or am I getting a line?
