could anyone explain how these Components work

1.a toothed flat belt drive
2.a self-tensioning vee belt drive
3.a duplex roller chain drive
4.a morse rocker-joint chain drive
5.a compound spur gear train
6.a worm gear drive

1. is a flat belt with "teeth" on one side. every pulley has grooves to correspond to the teeth.

2. Is pyramid shaped belt. The v rides inside the pulleys

3. Kind of like a bicycle. metal chain with gears. duplex i believe means it has two sets of gears. kind of like running two chains on a bike just to make it stronger. roller means on each link in the chain it kind of has a ball bearing but in most cases just a little peace of tubing. That allows it to turn when going around the gear.

4. Works kind of the same as the roller chain but used more of a tooth and rocker system. that kind of wedges in to the gears.

5. Just a normal gear.

6. this is used in your rear end of the car.
