I use a dvd camcorder (dvd-rw disks) to record family videos. I used to be able to put these on my laptop when I was done and use windows media player to watch them. My computer crashed and I had to get a new hard drive. Now, whenever I try to play these it says " The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." It says it's a .bup file and I'm not sure what that is. All I know is it used to work just fine when I had vista, now I have XP and it won't work at all. Why is this? what do I need to do to fix it?
