Question about Whale Wars, can anyone help?

I have been watching the Animal Planet series Whale Wars for a while now and I enjoy it. The people there are very dedicated to what they do and I think what they are doing is great. The question is a simple one in my mind, but I know it will take a lot more than this and it is a lot harder and more dangerous than I am laying it out to be but here it is. A huge part of the Whale Wars team is finding these Japanese whaling fleets yes, well since they have been on one of the boats before, why can't they hop on another and put like a GPS system or something like that on it? Now I know it is dangerous, and expensive, and not as simple as I put it, but do you think it is a good idea? I mean even if they can get a tiny one and store it somewhere on the ship or even throw it on the side or something if it is small enough, couldn't this work. I mean I don't know if GPS will work so low on the earth or if the cold may kill it or even if the saltwater might kill it, but I mean it is an idea right? I wanted to email the crew with this idea but I cant seem to find how to email them. So with the question still in mind, does anyone have an email address I can email them at? I would love to email them the idea and tell them how much I appreciate what I do, can anyone give me the email address to one of the crew or the show or something? That and answer the question I had lol. I know I am asking a lot but this really means a lot to me
