Question about weight gain!

Sorry, guys, Im just curious if any of you know about weight training requirements; im 5'7'' w a very fast metabolism; for the past 2 months I've been lucky enough to eat 3000+ calories a day, and my weight shot from 138 to 148; however, due to current circumstances, I have not been able to eat more than around 2000 a day, but my weight lifting has increased greatly- as well as tons of jogging and biking, just not enough calories each day; what I'm asking is, with this lifestyle continuing for the next month or so, if I should expect to lose weight, maintain my weight, or possibly even gain weight? I'd hate to see all the weight I gained go to nothing again (when I gained it I wasn't exercising much, just eating a lot; now im not eating as much and exercising ten times more). Sorry for any confusion! And thanks greatly for any advice :)

Hi, Rschexna . . . I would think if you are working out more and taking in fewer calories, you would lose weight but on the good side, you would be losing more fat than muscle.

Ask yourself how you are feeling. Are you getting weak or light headed? Is the exercise becoming more difficult on your muscles? Are you getting sufficient fluids and nutrients? I would say if the extra exercise is not bothering you and you are not getting too thin, you should be all right.

Remember also that muscle weighs more than fat, so if your weight stays the same or even goes up, the fat loss and the muscle gain may be the reason.

Lindaru :)
