question about verizon wireless cell phone contracts?

Okay so right now, I'm on a 2 year contract with verizon. But I want a new phone and the price is confusing me. So it says it's 399.99 dollars. But it says with 2 year contract it's 79.99. So because I already have the contract and im not starting a new one does that mean id have to pay the 399.99? Or does it mean if you have a 2 year contract its 79.99?
