I'm just starting proactive, it's my second day. I use the three step process twice a day in the morning and at night. I was just wondering if it's ok to splash water and pat dry my face occasionally during the day. i have oily skin and i don't have air conditioning and I work outside a lot, so the sweat/greasiness makes me feel gross and my face feels heavy. I always splash a little cold water on my face several times a day to refreshen and clean up the sweat/oil a bit.

I'm just wondering if it's ok to do that while using proactive. i dont want to wash off the medicated lotion, but if it absorbs quickly and i wait after some time it should be ok right? Thanks.

I've never used proactive but to my knowledge the medicated lotion has the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide. When left on the skin benzoyl peroxide stays active for a long time, as long as 12 hours I think. So washing it off would not be ideal for best results. I have oily skin also and have gotten decent results from using a paper towel or something to carefully blot away the excess oil every once in awhile, rather than washing my face again.
