Hello, I have a 1996 Toyota Camry XLE 6 cyl. engine. My check engine light is on, and the code says I have a shift solenoid issue. I'm on a shoe-string budget, and my question(s) are this:
1. How big of a deal is this? My car is currently running and driving like it was brand new.
2. How many of these are there on my car and where exactly are they located?
3. Could this be a do-it-yourself job? (I have heard all you have to do is drop the oil pan to get to them).
4. About how much do these parts cost? Aftermarket not Toyota brand.
