question about shelby and ford?

hi. i was playing need for speed undercover on my ps3, i saw this shelby: http://www.mustangheaven.com/stangspecs/2008/2008ShelbyGT500KR.htm

its spankin right? but it also looks like this car from ford:

did shelby copy ford, did ford copy shelby or did they make a deal over the car?
