Question about setting up Wireless Router Password?

I have a linksys router and watched some tutorials on youtube so I know what I am doing when I set up a password so neighbors can't steal my connection. They all told me to put the default linksys IP in the toolbar, Enter.. etc and then change setting in that linksys page that comes up. Fine.

This is my question -
I was going to clear cookies/cache like usual and happened to noticed that when I click Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections, there is something called Wireless Network Setup Wizard. I Clicked it and it seems to be a way to set up a wireless password -
Huh?

Once I attach the linksys router - am I supposed to change the password to something custom via the control panel link above or stick with the youtube tutorials?

The link on the control panel under Internet Connections is throwing me off. There also seems to be options to set up computer networks for home under the Internect Connections link in the Control Panel. What is all this stuff for? I thought all I had to do was connect the router to the moden and the main computer to the router..
then use the default IP to get to the linkys page online and create a custom password.

What is all this stuff under the control panel?

PLEASE help me out - as many details as possible. I really need a good explanation here.
