If you want really amazing hiking in Morocco, try the Todra Gorge. For that matter, just about anywhere in the High Atlas Mountains offers good hiking. As for Rabat, about the only "hiking" you might find there is up the steps to the mausoleum where the former king's body is kept. The last person who answered this question has an excellent point, though. Rabat is a really cool city to walk around. I highly recommend a walk through the kasbah, too. There are some pretty spectacular views of the waterfront from there.

Hiking in Rabat ? I dont think so, it's flat over there, but it's amazing to go for a walk, go down town in Rabat, it is amazing, and then to Abou Raqraq river, it is spliting Rabat from Sale, and it is an amazing view, Rabat if full of beautiful places to see

Is there hiking and outdoor areas that can be reached by foot or public transportation.
