Johnson had always believed in limited government and a strict construction of the constitution?

is that what lincoln believed also?

There are 2 President Johnsons. LBJ and Andrew Johnson. LBJ grew the government with his great society program. Andrew Johnson was in a totally different era when the Democratic party was way different than it was in 1964.
