Question about PPL and Sport license (question #2, previous one was messed up)?

OK, I have a PPL but haven't flown for quite a long time, like maybe 15 yrs or so.
A friend of mine with NO license has bought a Kitfox. He is planning of course on getting one, I have never really heard too much on these sort or Recreational licenses at all.
What sort of schooling is my friend looking at to get a Sport license, and it's HIS understanding he can actually fly into controlled airspace with this thing? He said it has strobes and a radio, I didn't ask about a Transponder.
OK, and also, as a PPL, what steps would I need to take to fly this thing with or FOR him? He said no med exam with a Sport license, so where do I stand on flying this?
(He bought it already professionally built, it has flown already)
(Also it's a taildragger and I have no endorsement for that)
Ricky, the FAA will say "Leave the Baron alone, we LIKE him......"

Schooling- Just go to your local FBO at a local airport. Most FBO's offer a recreational license.

Restrictions on a Sports Pilots Certificate

-At most one passenger
-Daytime flight only (civil twilight is used to define day/night)
-No flight above 10,000 feet MSL
-No flight in any of the airspace classes that require radio communication (classes A, B, C, or D) without first obtaining additional instruction and instructor endorsement
-No additional ratings (such as an Instrument rating), although time in sport-light aircraft can be used towards the experience requirement of other ratings.
-The U.S. definition of Microlight (Ultralight) Aircraft is much more restrictive than for 'Light Sport Aircraft' and no license is required to fly a U.S.-defined Microlight.

No FAA medical certificate is required. A valid and current driver's license certifies that the pilot is medically fit to fly. However, those who have had a FAA medical certificate revoked or denied may not use a driver's license, but rather must obtain a valid medical certificate....

No, YOU CANNOT fly into ANY Controlled airspace with a Sports license without first obtaining additional instruction and instructor endorsement
