Plz help.

I have about 10 betta fish. When we first started getting them they all kept getting sick. They would do exactly what you are saying yours did, and some died. After much research I wasn't able to determine for sure what my fishes had.

First clean the tank more often. What type of food do you use? I first used fish worms. That was the main reason for the dirty tanks, as well as over feeding. The leftover food sat in the tank and made it dirty, getting that fish sick. I now use little fish pellets.

I use tap water, let it sit for a few mins to get to room temp. Then use a few drops to make the tap water safe.

Does he puff up? If he is then he can probably see his reflection in the glass and is trying to fight himself...

its probably because the tank is dirty and you have bugs in it clean the tank after you buy the medicine at petco or petsmart and it will have a pic of your fish buy it and drop it in the tank

BY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you just introduce him to the tank? Is your tank cycled, and more than 4 gallons? Does it have a filter and a heater?

If you just added your Beta, he's getting used to the tank and will be jumpy for a while. Make sure you don't have any younger or older siblings poking the tank walls, make sure it is not exposed to much movement, around the tank as in walking, etc., because it can get scared.
