Question about my 2003 Ford Explorer?

So I replaced my alternator and battery.....

I start my truck let it run for a little while, and it dies again.
Obviously the battery is not getting charged by the alternator.

Any solutions?

2003 Ford Explorer 4.0l
Could it be just the battery cables?
Battery dies after every start and I have to re-charge the battery
