Question about having 2 BEV dishes

Hi all

Ok so i'm planning to get BEV very soon but i'm wondering about something and i'd rather ask here instead of calling their customer service.Ok so basically i have 4 Tvs who are quite separated from each others.After analyzing the situation , i think that it would be better for me two have 2 dishes (one on each side of the house) with each one deserving 2 TVs instead of having only one with a multiplex.It would avoid me a lot of cabling troubles that way even though there are inconvenients as well like taking care of two dishes.

What i want to know is , does BEV permit to have 2 dishes on one account or do they consider this as receiving the signal twice and therefore they charge 2 x the montly fees for the programmation ? Because if that's the case i will resign myself to go with a miltiplex even though i'm really not a fan of the idea for various reasons (cabling mess being the main one).

No the receiver does the receiving for monthly bills two dishes would only have a purchase and installation cost. They limit the #'s of receivers to around 6 per account.
 
Express Vu do not sell Dish's officially so you cannot buy one from them.

If you are a new customer, then the installation for 4 receivers will be free provided you sign a Contract, 2 years I believe entitles you to the Free Installation.

If you happen to buy an extra Dish and ask the Tech to install it as opposed to running RG6 around or through your house, he may agree or he may not, it is a gray area.

If you plan on doing all the work yourself, just go ahead and intall 2 Dish's. Just be aware that if you decide to upgrade to HD you will most likely double your Upgrade requirements as well, ie; 2 x SW44's or 4 x SW21's etc.
 
That is my situation exactly (sort of). I installed a 2nd dish myself as well as run the associated cables. I don't know if a tech would do this 2nd dish install for you. In my case it was less expensive to have a 2nd dish (cheaper than a multiswitch) and 2 of my TV's were on the opposite side of the house than the main dish. You could find a spare dish cheaper than buying a multiswitch. If you don't mind having a second dish mounted to the house, this would be the way to go.
 
buy 2 9200 receivers and they each come with a dish and a multiswitch.
that would feed 2 hdtvs and t sd tv's of the tv2 output.

Or, i got a dish and an old receiver i could sell.
 
Personally, I like multiple dishes. Although recently I changed my wiring layout with some excellent help from Nimiq 1 such that I am running off a single dish now.

The "old" second dish is still in place and the wiring accessible such that if there is a problem (snow, ice, whatever) with the dish up on the roof then I can easily flip to the "backup" dish that is easily accessible.

It is pretty easy to get your hands on a spare dish (I have 6 in my basement). Whenever I bought or rented a receiver they all included a dish (in some cases I decided to pay an extra $20 to get the xx20 kit to get the dish/lnb as spares). I've been given many dishes over the years too as friends upgrade to 20" or switch to cable.

I have one mounted on a concrete block so I can take everything I need to watch tv out on the patio :)

Never hurts to have options, bottom line is that BEV can't tell and doesn't really care if you install a dish for every receiver.
