My car's A/C doesn't work, and I avoided driving it this summer because of the heat. Now I want to get it repaired, but when I mentioned it to some people, they all told me the same thing, which was basically that it would be a waste of money. They said that an A/C costs a lot to fix, and half the time it ends up breaking again anyway. One guy told me it would run me about $500 to repair it, and it probably wouldn't even stay that way. Surely there must be a way to repair the A/C in a car and have it work properly? In this day and age, I find it a little hard to believe this can't be done. Can anyone with knowledge on the subject shed some light on this? And how much does this typically cost?
