...far just with GED? its getting frustrating to me some people are kinda bringing me down and out all of people its my own parents. i know that they lost trust in my after i dropped out of HS and i stand by it i do not regret it
but now my parents are kinda giving me this blame talk that after i will get my GED i will have a hard time getting into college and then finding a job and yada yada .... im in a better place if i can call it that way im really happy with the work that i have done so far i wont have vacation this summer , im going to Poconos tomorrow with a group of friends and then im back home to NYC and starting school again
i do have plans for the future i wanna go to college here in NYC and after that i wanna move to Cali maybe to Long Beach im not sure yet
im really focused on what i am doing right now i kinds dont have any time for myself i have only 2 weeks free of school now so im trying to make up for the time that i wasn't able to hang out with my friends
i put my social life and friendships on hold just so i can give a whole 110% to what i need to do
but i can sense that my mom speaks from her experience she didn't went to college she only finished HS and she was not able to go and do what she wanted and thats nursing she wanted to become an RN and now shes talking me into it but im not interested in that i appreciate the people that do it and are nurses good for them but i have other plans
so she basically tell me that i have no future with GED that i wont get hired anywhere but if you have a degree from college lets say its an Associate degree and you wanna go to 4 year university then they are looking at your associate degree not GED , plus the program that i am right now has a really good % of people getting their GED and getting into college i think that maybe she is a little bit old school she does not understand some of the things
but anyways do you think that she might be true?? like i though that the people that are closest to me will support me not bring me down
for some people HS is fun for me it was pure torture i just didnt liked going there
i left HS in the 2nd semester of 10th grade my class graduated last week
i know GED isn't an easy test but i already took the predictors which are parts of GED test and i got high scores so i feel very confident about passing it
in HS you are learning all this stuff in 4 years when your in a GED prep class you have only 6 months ( that depends on the program) and you cannot get out of some things like in HS
i wanna go to college and study veterinary technology and become a vet tech .
