I got my car back today from my local ford main dealer (had it serviced) to find out that they have ripped one of my amplifier wire that is connected to my subwoofer.

I have tried calling Ford but they are closed now.

Do you think they will take liability or would they say i done it myself?

What can I do if they dont take liability for it?

Thanks

Unless they were doing work right around the damaged area you'll have no case at all. If they were doing work right around the damage then you've got a slight chance but it's going to be a huge uphill battle.

Here's what I would do. First off, where's the wire damaged? Sounds like there's a good chance that this fix could just be to reattach the wire, that's a 30 second fix. If that's possible, just do that and forget about it. If not, call the dealer and ask them to take care of it. If they give you any trouble just forget about it and take it to a stereo shop and get it fixed. I can't imagine it would be more than $20 - $30. Eat the $20 - $30 bucks and have the knowledge that you can't trust that dealer anymore. Cheap lesson as far as life lessons go.

whats kind of messed up is that only way they'd be liable for it is if you had actual proof that they were the ones that did it, meaning like a picture of the wire connected, the picture would also need the date and maybe time of right before you took the car in, without proof you have nothing

but its just a wire, would just be easier and a less of a hassle to just fix it yourself, not that big of a fix, you'd lose against them anyways since you don't have any proof they did it so just might as well fix it yourself
