I have a betta and a goldfish. I keep them in a coffee pot. the coffee pot is inside my crabitat. but thats irrelevant.

What i need to know is what woud be a good thing to get to keep the water clean (it gets cloudy after like a day or 2). Should i get a device or like a bottom feeder animal.

i also have a bubbler thing in there if that makes any difference.

I know that bettas do not like moving water (filters, bubblers, etc) and can be very aggressive. Goldfish are extremely dirty fish: if it were me, I would put the goldfish in a separate tank with a filter.

The water is getting cloudy fast because you are not suppose to house fish in a coffee pot. Goldfish can get as big 15 inches (common goldfish). Goldfish need huge tanks because they produce lots of ammonia and they are coldwater fish. Bettas are tropical fish, therefore you shouldn't house those 2 species of fish together. Bettas need a minimum of 2.5 gallon with a heater and filter. One goldfish will need a 20 gallon with a filter alone and an additional 20 gallon for another one.

Wow, that's insanely cruel.

On another note, if the water is dirty that fast, maybe you should think about a larger storage space, like a real tank... Don't add another fish to the mix, because it is already crowded as it is...

Get a 5 or 10 gallon tank, filter, keep the airstone and air pump, and that will make a big difference. And remember, water changes every week are a good idea too...only 20%, not all the water.

Good Luck, and PLEASE BUY THEM A REAL TANK!

That is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cruel

The goldfish needs 50 gallons minimum and the betta needs 5 gallons minimum BOTH NEED FILTERS!!!!!!

also the betta is a tropical fish (needs a heater) and the goldfish is coldwater

WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU DO THAT!!!!
