so i got a scholarship from my school for $2,000. my counselor at my highschool told me whatever i get from financial aid they will usually just take away the loans since i have a scholarship. HOWEVER, this is not the case. once i got the scholarship my FA award changed. they pretty much took away more of my grants and replaced it with loans. SO IT WAS PRETTY MUCH POINTLESS in getting a scholarship. can financial aid really do this?
