Question about financial aid and FAFSA grants?

I got an email from the FAFSA that says my EFC is 0, and I'm eligible for a pell grant of up to $5550 for the 2010-2011 school year. I'm going to be attending Rutgers University in the fall, and I was wondering two things:

1. Will the FAFSA only give me $5550, or is there a chance for more?
2. How much do you think Rutgers will give me in additional aid?

Actually you received the highest amount that is offered from the Pell Grant...so no you could not get anymore in Pell.
As far as more financial aid, you will be able to receive stafford loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) and probably a Perkins Loan.
This will depend on the cost of attendance at Rutgers which will determine how much you are offered.

I would also look into scholarships to supplement some of the tuition.

Good luck in school!

they wont give you more that is the maximum, But there are other options such as subsidized loans with low interest rates, your best bet is to get on the school's links as far as financial aid resources. Good luck!
