Question about Fifa 2007 on the PS2?

In Fifa 2007 you get experience points and when the players get to 100% experience what happens? Because some of my players improve at different things like shoot power and stamina etc but some stay the same and nothing improves

Is there something im not doing for these others to be improving or not?
