There is this cake recipe I saw that mixes peppermint essence and chocolate cake and I was wondering if you can substitute the peppermint essence with basically any other essence or extract, of course if it suits your taste. For instance, I want to mix some pandan extract with the chocolate cake (or maybe vanilla) to try it out. Would I be able to substitute the few peppermint essence with a few drop of pandan extract?
