Question about eukaryotic genes in Biology! HELP!?

I am very confused on this one subject..
How would the transcription of a eukaryotic gene be affected if a replication error changed the nucleotide sequence of the termination signal for that gene?
 
It would produce too many of the faulty nucleotides resulting in a birth defect because too many genes would be produced.
