I attended college and couldn't afford to graduate. I have 12 credits left. I want to enlist in the army to be a mental health specialist. Ideally, I'd like to become a psychologist. I just can't afford the tuition.

My question is, if I enlist in the army as e-1, and then get the remaining credits while in the army (hopefully they can pay for it), will I be able to jump to e-4, or would I need to work up the ranks.

Next question is: I would prefer to join the army to help me with my goals of becoming a psychologist. Without a PhD, there are no opprtunities to work within mental health and be an officer, but the pay and respect is nice. If I stay enlisted for 3 years (our of 4 total), could I apply to OCS in 4th year? If I pass/get accepted, would I be O-1 or would my years of enlistment help get to O-2, or higher?

(Of course depending on my performance, and Armys need).
