Question about EA Sports games? (Madden 10, NHL 10, etc.)?

I just bought my 360 a couple of months ago so i haven't played a sports game on a next-gen console before. My question is, do rosters update as trades are made in real life? NHL 10 comes out in a week, and if teams make a trade the day after the game comes out, is there a patch that updates all of the rosters.
