So I currently have 2 small goldfish in a 20 g tank but I know that once they grow they need way more room.
I bought a 50 gallon tank two days ago and am waiting for my dad to make a stand, but I'm wondering about the process of cycling. How do I do this, and what is it for? (I know i sound dumb, but i just dont understand it)... on every website it says to add a few hardy fish after a few days... but all i plan on keeping is the goldfish, should I add them or what?
Sorry, this is probably a really dumb question, but I want to make sure everything is done right so they can live healthy
also, I know they need double the filtration... instead of a 100 gallon type filter, can I add 2 50 gallon ones?
oh and one more thing... I'm currently feeding my fish tetrafin goldfish flakes and nutrifin max pellets... how can I feed them without making a big mess in the tank? should I just use the pellets? if so how much... thanks
