question about connecting Wii to internet

will it be the normal phone line that you connect or will it be an ethernet connection or what? im preparing myself for the 8th of dec when it comes out in euroland.

this ethernet business is gonna cause me problems. why cant it take a normal telephone line, i fucking have broadband.
 
the ethernet connector is bigger than a normal telephone connector. the lan adaptor for the nintendo wii is connected to the wii via usb and has a port for a ethernet wire. how does that help me when my computer is in another room? ive a normal telephone connector by my tv.
 
oh lord,

switch -- if you have broadband.. go get a wireless broadband cable/DSL router, its a quick 5 min setup and then bang you have your wifi access.
 
Speaking of the internet, anyone else having issues with the various channels? When I first plugged my console in, I downloaded and applied all of the updates. Now, when I go into the Nintendo Store, it tells me I need to update. I say, update, it tries and says my console has the latest update and drops me back out to the main menu. After that, I can go into the Nintendo Store and browse. I can't go into the news or weather channels. I get the update message, try to apply, notified I have the latest update and I'm dropped back out to the main menu. If I try to go back into the news or weather channels, the cycle repeats.
