My husband and I are stationed in Naples, Italy. His son is living in Germany with his mother who are both German citizens. His son got seriously injured and he put papers in for a Compassionate Reassignment. His Commander said if it get's approved for a year then I wont be able to be Command Sponsorshiped so I cant go with him on his orders. His Commander said if it gets approved he'll get a year then sent to the states for a 3 year duty station (with me).
Were not supposed to PSC Italy until April 2010 but if it gets approved does this mean I have to go back to the states or can I stay here until April 2010 while he's in Germany and then go back to the states until that year is over?
I'm confused on if I can go with him or not or if I can finish out our tour here without him then when it's over I move to the States until his asignment is over.
