I have a Chevy Cobalt 2005, and I almost got 100k on it.
Recently I had some problems with its performance (It has a hard time changing gears), but after cleaning an air intake system it started working again.
But, right after the mechanic cleaned it my car started to sound like a tractor, instead of been quiet as usual. It disappears after a while, and for about a week everything seems to be fine.
But some time ago I mentioned, that when I start the car, and when I am push on the accelerator on over 40mph usually pretty quiet engine make this sound again, and faster I need to accelerate, the louder the sound. There is no vibration or anything, RPMs holds steady, just this sound.
Question - is it dangerous? What could it possibly be? Any suggestions where I can fix it?
