I was looking on my credit score and it's 536. I know it's horrible but i recieved a repo about a year or two ago when the job situation was very bad here. Now i've gotten back on my feet with another job, and am looking to get a car in the 10k range. I make 10.40hr and get 40hrs a week. Which gross equals to be 416 a week before taxes, or 1248 a month. I can easily afford a car payment/car insurance regardless I live with my parents right now so i dont have to pay anything here. They won't cosign for me though.
Roughly about how much do you guy's think I will need to have down to get a loan? I tried calling some car places and they're trying to tell me I need to make atleast 2000 a month to get a loan, which is a lie because I've never made that in my life and i had 2 loans, but the repo really screwed me..
Taxes come in january plus i've been saving up so i was thinking maybe like 1500-2000 down? Would that guarantee me a loan for 10k from a dealer? If not, what about going to a credit union bank? And how would that work? Thanks guys...
