I was recently rear ended by a hilux with bull bar, no damage to him of course but I needed a new bumper. My insurance company (AAMI) have arranged everything which is good and the guy at fault will be held responsible for the repairs. AAMI provides a free taxi to anywhere when you drop off and again when you pick up the car from repairers if you have comprehensive cover, again excellent. It was a $110 cab charge from the repairers in Southern Sydney to work in Sydney CBD in peak hr traffic. And probably the same when I go to pick up the car later on. I'm sure they won't just fork out the bill for taxis since it's not an extra on insurance premium, just curious, but are they going to charge that to the guy at fault? Surely, that's a bit unfair!
