I need to know if there are any laws protecting consumers with the purchase of electronics under California state law. We purchased a television set refurbished by Toshiba that came with a standard 90 day warranty. it is now 120 days later and the television barely works at all and after talking to the repairman Toshiba recommended he said that the "humming" was a problem sign since the time of purchase (having never owned a DLP television before I didnt know it was unusual). In order to fix the television it will cost $670 and since there was obviously a problem from the time of purchase it should be covered with no questions asked. HOWEVER just in case Toshiba doesnt come through, are there any California state laws where warranties do not allow limitaions on how long an implied warrenty lasts?
