Hello,
I am a college student (full time) and I work part time for the city of Bridgeport (CT). Currently I drive a 1993 Subaru legacy, she runs like a champ, with 175k miles or so. I could probably drive her past 200k but I was thinking about buying a car, not brand new but something from the years 2000-06.
My question is about car dealerships. I've never bought a car from one, in fact the car I currently have was a high school graduation present (woo!) -- I am hoping to get another Subaru seeing how the one I have is pretty old with a good chunk of mileage and runs great. If I go to a dealership what type of prier knowledge should I have? Should I be weary of certain offers or misleading deals? Also, I've only had 2 bills so far, cell phone and small Bank of America student credit card, which I've been paying in full every month for a year. Based on that would I have "good" credit or should I build it up some how?
So there it is. I'm just looking for general information about buying a car from a dealership, most likely a Subaru one.
Thanks!
