Question about Buspar

Does anybody take buspar for panic attacks? My doctor recently added buspar 2.5mg 3 times a day to my paxil 20mg. I also take xanax .5mg as need for panic attacks. I was wondering if I could take buspar like you would take xanax. I suffered from panic attacks in morning and would like to take buspar rather than taking for xanax. Should I take buspar before I take paxil since I more anxiety in morning?

Can I take xanax with buspar because its not help with my panic attacks.

taking buspar is not the same as taking xanax. Buspar neeRAB to be taken on a regular basis and can take several weeks to take effect. It is not a fast acting/quick relief drug like xanax. Take your Buspar as prescribed and continue to take your xanax in the morning as you need it until the Buspar kicks in.

I take 15mg of Buspar three times a day (morning, afternoon and bedtime) and have been on it for many months. It can make you sleepy at first and I think it was at least 4 weeks before I noticed any type of change and I also had an increase in dose after 4 weeks.
