I've never been tested for diabetes. I was just wondering if my blood sugar goes too high after eating. I ate an unhealthy lunch at Sonic today. Hamburger, french fries, a vanilla Dr. Pepper and about 20 minutes later a piece of chocolate cake. I noticed about an hour after eating that my heartbeat was a little fast and thought I'd test my blood sugar with a home monitor I have. It was 165. About and hour or two later, it was 199. I took it about 30 minutes after that and it is now 130. Finally coming down. It's almost 5:00 and I started eating about 1:30. I'm wondering if I have a problem, or maybe my body isn't handling that many carbs.
