Question About Best Buy (Electronics Store)?

Ok, So I have an ipod 3rd generation 32gb and a 2 year warranty, i barely got the ipod in february and its messing up, do you think best buy will upgrade my ipod for the new 4th generation for free? or will they charge extra because its the new one? the 3rd generation cost me $420 with 2 year warranty
