.) I rarely play my music all out. If I have an amp that sends 60X4 at 4 ohms and 70X4 at 2 ohms to a set of 4 speakers, 2 Infinity Kappas up front which can handle 75 each, and two in the back which can handle 135 each (this is in RMS), would my amp still give sufficient power to make them sound good? I mean, do I really need to get an amp that will be able to send all 135 watts to each of the two in the back...?
.) If I get an amp, I know this means that the head unit no longer powers any of the speakers. Does it then matter what kind of head unit I have? Besides appearance and features like USB drives, does the head-set have ANY affect on the quality of sound once I have an amp in?
.) So if an amp gives 60X4 at 4 ohms and 70X4 at 2 ohms, how does it "decide" whether to be at 2 or 4 ohms?
.) An amp that gives 60X4 at 2 ohms couldn't possible, say, give 100X2 to two speakers and then 20X2 to two others?
.) Will I always have to adjust the amp to play the music? Like, if I want to adjust bass, will I have to always fiddle with the amp, or just the head unit?
.) Where does the amp usually get put in a 4-door sedan? The trunk?
Thank you!
