The gist was two old cowboys branding cattle, they got tired of it and rode to town to get drunk, left town with the delirium tremimums and encountered the devil who said "you cowboy pollecats better run for your hole cause I'm up here from the rim rock of hell to gather in your souls" The cowboys got in a fight with him , roped tied , de horned and branded him and last of all tied a knot in his tail for a "joke" "Then rode of and left him necked to a black jack oak"It continued to say if you're ever down on the Pecos and hear a h### of a wail it's just the devil crying about the knot in his tail. That's all I remember,so someone who is a poet help me please.I need this to entertain the children with.
