Question about a business idea?

I have an idea that could potentially save the company I work for $100k to $250k per year. I would like to approach them with this idea; however, I would like to be compensated for the idea. It is not a "maybe it could" idea; it is a guarantee. My question is: Is it too much to ask for 20% of the profit generated? Also for a better position in the company? Something in the office area preferably. Any suggestions? If I approach them with this idea I will have a contract and a lawyer present. Is that the right way to handle this? $100k to $250k is a lot of money, and I personally think 20% is more than generous on my end. What do you think??
