i have a 92 nissan 300zx N/A automatic.the other day when driving home from work i was stopped at a light 1 block from my work. as i turned right my car went real slow. slow enough that the person behind me had 2 honk and then my transmission/RPM slipped VERY hard and shot up 2 5000 in 1st gear. so i let go of gas and reapplied and then it shifted gears. my tranny has been bad 4 a few weeks now and i have been saving up $$ for a new or used 1. normally when i drive my tranny might slip a lil bit but wont go past 3000 and the engine feels like its running fine. now every now and then when i accelerate it feels like something under the hood gets stuck/slows down. example, i try 2 accelerate fast and then at about 2000 RPM the RPM needle appears 2 get stuck and instead of the engine roaring louder and louder it kind of pauses/gets quieter for a sec and then goes up when i step harder on gas. i am going 2 a shop 2morrow but any ideas???
