Questing about a Nissan Quest/Mercury Villager engine?

The timing belt on a 2000 Mercury Villager 3.3l engine broke prematurely. My question is whether or not this is an interference (I think that's the right word) engine and that replacing the belt would be worth it. I believe the engine has remained the same on all 1999-2002 Nissan Quest/Mercury Villager.
