So I was browsing the official Navy SEAL site, and I came accross this: "The community consists of six Major Commands with a total of 2450 SEAL Operators, Naval Special Warfare Command reports directly to U.S. Special Operations Command, located in Tampa FL."

2450 SEALs?? I was 4 years with the Ranger Regiment, and we did not have that many people when I was in (04 - 07), it was less (not drastically less, but definitely less). Now obviously these numbers dont take into account DEVGRU, and I know how many operators they have.

Im proud of my Regiment, but I personally feel that SEALs are better trained. But the numbers dont make sense, 350,000 Navy personnel, 2500 + are SEALs. 1 million Army personnel and under 2200 Ranger Regiment personnel. Kinda weird statistics?

any theories as to why these numbers are all jacked up? without saying that they are wrong, cus obviously they are on the money. I am not including the support personnel of the SEALs. Regiment support (other than those red beret add ons that nobody likes) have all been through RIP and are Rangers who go on objectives as well, not actual support.

Whats the approx number for SF Group guys?
