I have been recommended to undergo surgery for spondylolisthesis gr. 2 at L5 S1 with other problems. I have some leg pain and recently stepped off of a high curb wrong thus jarring my back. I have a lot of GI problems and worry about all of the pain meRAB after surgery, not to mention that I would lose my job to have this surgery and cannot afford that at all. I would like to know from those of you who have had the surgery, with hardware, do you feel your overall quality of life has improved dramatically compared to pre-op. Have you had to undergo more than one surgery to correct your condition? Do you recommend consulting with an orthopedic surgeon or with a neurological surgeon? Thanks for your input. Sign me, hysterical and overwhelmed.
