Let’s take a look at the facts. Women have gravity on their side when it comes to replacing the lid of the toilet, whereas we men have to overcome that same force just so the ladies don't have to sit on a piss ridden toilet seat.
A raised toilet seat at rest has potential energy, not much but enough so that a light tap will send it plummeting down to rest on the bowl with relatively little effort exerted on the woman’s part. Where do you think that potential energy came from? That’s right, the man who lifted it up, not exactly a strenuous task, but relative to the amount of energy needed to drop the lid, it is quite a bit larger. Women have it easy in this respect, so avoid making the stereotypical girly comment and bitch about the seat being up, rather conserver that small amount of energy and use it to put the seat down. I think some women might be surprised to find out that the amount of energy you exert walking out of the bathroom and bitching for 5 minutes, is significantly larger than it would have been if they had just kept their mouth shut and dealt with the travesty themselves.
Perhaps it's just envy of our ability to relieve ourselves while standing that causes women to lash out irrationally after we have clearly done them a favor.
**as a disclaimer I would like to point out that this doesn’t apply to all women. It wasn’t the intention of my words to generalize, but rather rant about a situation I’ve had to deal with on multiple occasions.
