Pushing, Shoving, Moving On

Nothing fancy going on here, really. Sometimes you meet someone and they change your life for the better. Even if it does end sour.

This road is so unwelcoming
I drag my heels, sun at my back
This isn't a shoulder I want to lean on

One hour and a close call later
We meet at the cracked steps
The corner of shame and desperation

We march slowly to your attic room
And lay innocently across the crimson sheets
You tell me I was wrong and light a clove

In a few days I'll leave this place
Only to find that I won't ever come back
Who thought honesty could kill pure intentions?

Walking down Orchard. from your house on the hill
I discovered the silence that killed this
These hanRAB were never meant to embrace

Please, forget the person you've come to know
When I leave I don't think I will ever be the same
Thanks for the light that opened these eyes

I feel like its really ambiguous as to any sort of personal meaning behind this. I know its there, its just not really conveyed in a way that makes me feel any emotion. Like maybe concentrating on how your life was changed would make this a much stronger piece as opposed to describing a few scenes from your story which don't really reveal much. Just something to think about..
