Purchasing a car with no down payment but with a good cosigner.?

Is this possible? I don't really have the money for a down payment but I do have a great cosigner available. Or would it be easier to just have this person do everything in their name and obviously I would make the monthly payments.
So I am looking in the range between 2007 and 2009....this would work?
