For many months now I've had a pulsating stomach off and on. Being I suffer greatly from anxiety I knocked it off to that. Well the last couple days it's nearly constant. So now it's really freaking me out. It will pulse for like up to 20 minutes straight..stop for 5-20 minutes and do it again. Then it's like pulse for like 30 seconRAB, stop for one minute, pulse for 30 seconRAB, stop for a few minutes, on and on. Normally I'd convince myself it's anxiety but it is SO constant it's got me worried but maybe my worriedness is making it worse?

I also since worrying over this keep getting chest pains off and on (I suffer from them often now but was told it's not my heart from doctors) but after a few months of it not hurting it started again when the pulsating started and got worse. Now of coure I worry it abdominal aortic aneurysm. Gah.

I'm just really stressing and freaking out and made the mistake of googling this stuff for the last couple hours. If pulsating can be caused by anxiety (which I wasn't having when it started) can it happen so often and frequent. I mean 20+ minutes of pulsating..time after time is strange. It don't matter what I'm doing or what postion, it still happens.

Is this anxiety do you think?

I'm 29, female, don't smoke or drink.

I know what you mean. Mine is higher stomach, like diaphram area. I'm certain mine is a high blood pressure thing which I'm trying to control, but is activated by anxiety. When I know my blood pressure is up I feel it in my diaphram area. If you want to eliminate the aorta thing the test is just a sonogram - maybe $100-150 bucks but phrase your concerns to the doctor so he initiates the test. You want a diagnostic test so part of it would be covered by insurance -- if you suggest it it might be considered preventative and not covered. good luck.
