Publishing stories- can someone give me ideas?

I am a young writer who is finishing up her first novel. I think it's pretty good and I want to publish it. Does anyone have any advice? I don't know if publishing requires any kind of money or experience, because I've never published a book before and my budget is low......any publishing companies and tips and advice would be greatly appreciated
